Are You Ready for some Football............

I know I am!! I checked Shelby out early from school so we could go to the Pep Rally! It was lots of fun and everyone seems pumped up for tonight's first home game of the season against Hazelhurst. Let me tell you it took Emily, Abbey and a few of their friends from three to six o'clock to get ready!! And Shelby was able to get her football T-shirt autographed by our sensational senior quarterback, Jamie Collins!! Let's Go Bulldogs!!!!!!

PRAISE GOD........................

Just got my call from Nana!!! All test are clear!!! NO CANCER!!! God is so absolutely, positively in CONTROL!!!!!! Thank-you all you prayer warriors!!

Tomorrow is a big day!! Nana gets TEST RESULTS!! Pray without ceasing!! I know all will be OKAY!!

Meet Chloe.......

  Abbey's birthday is the 27th of this month and we surprised her with this little ball of fur!! Her name is Chloe and she is a Bichon-A-Poo, which is some kind of hybrid mix between a Bichon and a Poodle. She is just adorable and such a sweetie!! I was really worried our other dog Sissy would be so jealous and they wouldn't get along but they have become fast friends!! Now if I can just make it through house training again!!

Thought this was cute.......

Abbey came in from school yesterday and I immediately said "do you have any homework?" she replies "no ma'am but you do!!". One of her teachers sent home a paper saying that she feels it is only fair since the kids will be having homework for the next 10 months that the parents should have it at least once!! My assignment was to describe Abbey in TEN MILLION words or less!! I managed to get it done and I hope Abbey didn't lose it before she made it to school this morning, I really want to make a good grade on it!! God Bless our Teachers and our kids!!!

Softball News...

 The JV team team suffered their first defeat last night at North Pike! It was a zero to zero game until the last inning and North Pike was able to pull out ahead with six runs. Varsity, however, had an awesome VICTORY over North Pike for the first time in about eight years!! Way to go LADY DAWGS. Next game will be at home Thursday night-- JV @ 5:30 Varsity at 7pm.

Softball Season in Full Swing....

 Softball practice started two weeks ago and I'm sure the girls would say it's been the hottest two weeks of their life!! They've practiced every day  from 3:30 to 6:00 and the only thing that's saved them from having a HEAT STROKE has been the afternoon thunderstorms. This has been the first time in years that either one of them have played ball and I'm so proud of how much they are learning and improving! I thought after that first week of being so hot and sore they would start whining about wanting to quit but they have really been really tough! And Shelby has been with them every step of the way! She hasn't missed a practice! The team even made her the official batgirl . They had their first win of the season on Saturday at a tournament in Natchez. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Abbey catching behind the plate!! She had mentioned to me one time about wanting to catch but, hadn't been practicing any in that position. She did a great job for her first time. Emily played in centerfield and they each hit the ball good. We play again tonight at North Pike!
