X-rays have just confirmed that Emily has broken her pinkie finger!!! Who says " cheer-leading is not a sport"?! I know these are minor things but, enough is enough.
Abbey has broken her third toe!! She was over at her friend Miranda Estess's house last night and was playing a game with a blindfold on and slammed her foot into a wall. Well, duh, that's what happens when you can't see, Abbey!! X-rays clearly showed the fracture and her foot is all purple and hurting! Will be praying for a speedy recovery.
Please be in prayer for the Alice Dickerson family, Mrs. Alice passed away on Sunday. I say its a HEAVENLY reunion because she was one of my Grandma Louise's best friends. I know the two of them are enjoying a cup of coffee as they catch up on the latest news!! Aunt Alice was an awesome woman and I loved it when Mawmaw would take me along to visit with her. Both of these ladies were true Southern women full of grace.
All is well here at home, our lights went out around 8:00 P.M. on Monday night and came back on Wednesday at 7:oo P.M. Compared to the two weeks we were out with Katrina, this was no big deal!! We suffered no damage to our home, praise the Lord, just had limbs and stuff all over the yard. I spent most of the day yesterday getting it all cleaned up. I'm so glad everyone, including government officials, was better prepared for this storm and got out of harms way!! I pray for all who are still trying to rebuild their lives after Katrina and now GUSTAV. Here are some photos I took after the storm. God Bless our emergency workers and the electricity crews!!
