My sweet friend Leslie lost her husband, Steven, this week in a tragic automobile accident. They had been married for only two precious years and have the most adorable, red-headed, little girl named, Libby. She is the spitting image of her father!! Words cannot express the sadness I feel in my heart for this young family. I spent some time with them on the day of the accident and there were tears and words spoken that I will always remember. I was so touched by the words of compassion spoken by Leslie about the driver of the other truck. She was so concerned about how he would be able to deal with what had happened. It takes a remarkable person to show empathy instead of anger in situations like this. Most of all I will remember her saying, " WE HAD PLANS!!". Makes you think doesn't it??!! Makes you just stop in your tracks and realize that GOD has the true plan for our life and it is not always what we want or understand!! Leslie, please know you are loved by so many, but most importantly by our Heavenly Father. "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

Leslie is one of the strongest women I know! It is a scary feeling to think you have lost a husband in a accident, and I have been there, but I can not even know the pain of what she is feeling...I too have been with this family for the last couple of days and my heart goes out to them. I have prayed and prayed, only God can get them through this time of hurt!
