For my friend Leslie...........

 My  sweet  friend Leslie lost her husband, Steven, this week in a tragic automobile accident. They had been married for only two precious years and have the most adorable, red-headed, little girl named, Libby. She is the spitting image of her father!! Words cannot express the sadness I feel in my heart for this young family. I spent some time with them on the day of the accident and there were tears and words spoken that I will always remember. I was so touched by the words of compassion spoken by Leslie about the driver of the other truck. She was so concerned about how he would be able to deal with what had happened. It takes a remarkable person to show empathy instead of anger in situations like this. Most of all I will remember her saying, " WE HAD PLANS!!". Makes you think doesn't it??!! Makes you just stop in your tracks and realize that GOD has the true plan for our life and it is not always what we want or understand!! Leslie, please know you are loved by so many, but most importantly by our Heavenly Father.                                        "Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4

Quick Update............

It's almost Christmas and I haven't even blogged about Thanksgiving, so here is a quick catch up. The holiday started with a "Fall Luncheon" with Bryden's 3rd grade class. Mrs. Dillon, she is so awesome, had a great idea to have the class cook their family lunch. They planned the menu, bought their own groceries at B & B, cooked and served then served the meal all by themselves!! It was wonderful! We were greeted by Bryden at the door and invited in where kids were waiting to take our coats. They were all so proud of themselves and the food was delicious!  Thanksgiving Day  was spent eating more delicious food with family, lunch at my Moms and supper at Nanas! In between everyone did some hunting! So far my bunch has killed three---Bryden a doe, Jody a 10pt. and Abbey a 7pt. (I missed getting photo of Bryden's) I wish I could say we ended the holiday with a BIG win against Tylertown but things just didn't go our way! Thats all I'm going to say about that! It still just hurts to much to talk about !! And I'm sure most of you already saw Jennifer's Blog about Shelby's big surprise! Thanks again Jennifer and Jamie!! So, now on to Christmas we go!! The tree is up, parades are done and Santa is almost finished shopping!! I will post on the parades soon!! Have a great Friday everyone!

You may not know this BUT.........

    Shelby does have a shy side!! All it takes to bring it out is to get her anywhere near the Dawg's fabulous QB Jamie Collins.  She is a HUGE fan! Last year when he got hurt she made him a "get well soon" card and it took Will and Katherine to drag her over to him. But, as soon as she got close she bolted and Will had to give it to him. Right before the Championship game she made him another and her Aunt Jennifer had to give that one to him. I've never seen her so shy around anyone, it could mainly be because at 6'4 she is a little intimidated. And it's so funny cause he acts just as shy around her. Jamie is an incredible athelete and seems to be just an awesome young man. It made my day when I heard he put Shelby's cards on his locker. This year I have managed to get her a little closer to him. She had him autograph one of her football t-shirts(I asked if it was his first time to be asked for one and he smiled real big), made him a card with his picture on it and stood next to him long enough for me to get a quick photo. I hope when he makes it big he will remember this  shy little girl!!
